MGM Corporation and MGM Mirage made a strategic decision to standardize their entire casino management technology portfolio on a single platform — the Acres/IGT ADVANTAGE Casino Management System. The challenge: their properties were running multiple different legacy CMS platforms, each with its own data structures, regulatory compliance history, and financial reporting requirements. Every property was a live, operating casino — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There was no scheduled downtime. There was no margin for data loss.
The Engagement
Steven C. Roberts served as Project Manager and Technical Lead for the data conversion workstream across all MGM and MGM Mirage property migrations over a three-year program.
Each property conversion required:
